Innovations for 2017
There are limited changes this year to the Bessacarr range as the same eight models roll over again but with tweaks and upgrades here and there.
Th?e Fiat Ducato’s new Euro 6 engines lead the changes, supported by a full glass reinforced polyester roof.
Interiors get what Swift calls “Moonlight” soft furnishings and Dometic CU600 ovens for improved efficiency, but a standout addition is the arrival of Alde wet central heating.
ThOe optional Lux Pack adds cab air con, cruise control and a TV aerial.
ThOe range comprises of three two-berths – the front parallel lounge/end kitchen 412, the front lounge/end washroom 442, and the end-lounge 462.
Four four-berths are offered: the front dinette/end washroom 424, front dinette/French bed 454, front dinette/elevating rear bed over garage 484 and front dinette/rear transverse island bed 494.
With the exception of the 494, which rides on a 3700kg chassis, and the six-berth, 4250kg chassis 496 (front dinette with drop-down bed/rear lounge), all Bessacarr motorhomes are based on 3500kg chassis.
If not required, buyers can specify parallel lounge seating in lieu of the dinette in the 454, 484 and 494 models, making them two-berth, two-travel-seat motorhomes.
Innovations for 2016
Totally restyled both inside and out, the Swift Bessacarr range not only looks stunning from the outside, but is certain to prove a popular choice for motorhomers for 2016.
‘Aralie Sen’ woodgrain with smoked oak inserts to the gloss upper locker doors combined with rich dark brown and cream soft furnishings gives a ’boutique hotel’ feel to the interior, whilst exclusive Duvalay Duvalite mattresses on all fixed beds will enable a perfect night’s sleep.
Powered by the Fiat 2.3 litre, 130bhp Euro 5+ turbo diesel engine, all models have a six speed gearbox and automatic option. You can add cab air-conditioning, cruise control and a Status 570 TV aerial with the keenly priced Lux pack.
Each Bessacarr cab within the 2016 range comes with captain style seats and a DAB radio with bluetooth phone connection, handy storage area and USB charging port. Further enhancements for 2-16 include a new DAB radio with mirror antenna and 100W solar panel (40W on the 424).
Suitable for all seasons, the Bessacarr’s powerful Truma Combi boiler, easily controlled by a new digital panel, and Winter Pack come fitted as standard.
Elsewhere, warmth can be found by way of the ambience created by the Bessacarr’s energy efficient LEDs and dimmable spotlights. Further plus points include a well equipped kitchen with Omnivent, walnut dash trim, vanity mirror lighting, wardrobe lighting and map pockets/wall pads.
Meanwhile, outside, standard features include reversing camera for easy manoeuvring, gloss white cab mirror covers and a roll-out awning.
